As I get older, it seems more important to treat health and fitness as a sustainable way of life, not just as a solid lifestyle.

Positive and self-care activities are more up-to-date because many people in the community know how long-lasting (and sometimes very dangerous) diet and weight loss can be.

We can all use a little less rigidity and more balance in our lives. And this is what 8fit is trying to do for you by taking a more holistic approach to health and fitness.

What is an 8 fit?

8fit is a comprehensive health and fitness app that includes four main areas: exercise, daily activities, meal planning / meditation, and meditation. Eliminates the need to use a separate application for each of these areas.

Although the 8fit philosophy of building and maintaining healthy resources is more than just helping you reach your goal weight in a given day, you can still use the app for weight loss purposes. When you first register, you will be asked a series of questions about yourself and the types of goals you have to create a personalized experience.

The app’s interface below shows a clean and minimal design that is easy to use with the main menu options. On the main course, you will see suggested classes and featured sports, including upcoming episodes or upcoming episodes.

For each area, there is a small goal counter to complete a workout, record a meal, hit your daily routine, and complete meditation sessions so you can see at a glance how to hit your goals every day. It’s very basic, but that’s the point – you don’t need anything complicated to keep track of your daily progress.

The weekly goals you set can easily be seen at a glance.

It worked well with 8fit, but was limited to free users

8fit provides good exercise in categories such as boxing, HIT, yoga, Pilates, stretching, strength, bands and weights. There may not be hundreds of sports to choose from, but they are enough to make things fresh and interesting – especially if you are willing to switch between sports. Know that there are more sports in some categories than others. For example, I count 58 exercises in the weightlifting category and only 27 in yoga.

Exercise comes mainly in two different styles. The first is the popular video-type workout that includes many of the app’s fitness trainers that actually do the exercise and guide you along the way as they go. The second method is sequential exercise, such as intermittent exercise, which is a little more self-paced. A short video of each activity is displayed before the timer automatically starts so that you can move it manually for each sequence.

Exercise is intended to be relatively short. Most are around 10 to 20 minutes, and I found the longest in 35 minutes. Each exercise is called beginner, intermediate, advanced or all levels to determine what to expect in terms of difficulty.

The app will tell you what you need to prepare before you start exercising, which may be helpful if you are the first to try it. I found them to be very professional in video-type sports with picture quality, coaching performance, and location.

If I missed something, the sequence was easy to follow and easy to pause. When you’re done, 8fit will ask you to review the workout as easy, perfect or difficult, and select an emoji (no, yes, or like) to improve the tips for you.

I really like it so you can choose an individual workout based on knowledge, or you can sign up for a program that will last for several weeks. On the Sports tab, you can also see the latest sports and added sports.

The biggest depression? Most sports are only available to major subscribers. You can find out by exploring the clear key lock icon at the top left of any exercise thumbnail. Without upgrading to a premium, the number of games you can play is extremely limited.

Sequential sports will take you one step at a time.

Meal planning is for main subscribers only

I love exploring health and lifestyle apps that combine both fitness and nutrition. Why use two apps when you can solve both?

When you go to the Foods tab, you will first be asked a series of questions about your diet, your favorite foods, your favorite recipes, how many meals you eat per day and how much variety you want. 8fit then uses this information to build a personalized meal plan.

Unfortunately, free members do not have access to any of the meal plan features. After answering all the food questions, you will be asked to improve. Annoyingly, I know.

If you decide to go it cheap and risk the low bandwidth you are only fooling yourself. You will find tabs for each meal (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack) with the tabs that provide the photo, diet information, preparation time, ingredients, directions and kitchen equipment you need. You can even tap an individual ingredient in a recipe to view the menu and use the shopping list feature that tells you all the ingredients you need based on the recipes in your meal plan.

If you eat or exercise anything outside of the 8fit app, you can sign up yourself. Signing up for 8fit is very basic, and is primarily there to help you learn more about your habits, rather than tracking statistics like calories, calories burned, macro nutrients, and so on.

That’s another thing: 8 fit You don’t see much in terms of information and analysis because your lifestyle experiences are an awareness building application. You will not receive any charts, graphs or other analysis in addition to the small goal tracking app and the calendar on your profile. It is also not designed to integrate with other fitness wearers or apps in addition to Apple Health and Google Fitness, making it versatile in this regard.

Is 8fit worth the upgrade?

I’ll be honest – the free version of the app isn’t very useful because almost all exercise content is locked and you don’t have access to food plans. The more you use it as a free member, the more pop-ups will ask you to upgrade.

Despite the free version restrictions, the app is beautifully designed and the content is excellent. If you like what you see in the free version, it will make the most of the decision-making process rather than trying to plan what kind of exercise and what to eat. And you simply want to take full advantage of its content and features.

Overall, 8fit provides a very practical universal access to new sports, programs and recipes to find new content, follow daily routines and maintain a healthy lifestyle. One of the most common applications that focus on numbers is the breath of fresh air.
